Feeling Sick < Awesome Sauce of Life

So, I'm trying to ignore how some-kinda-sickness has fallen upon me since yesterday (damn throat!) because there is just so much cool stuff that has happened!

Yesterday evening, the girls (Jessica, Niki, Steph) and I had a Ladies Night up in DC. The Shakespeare Theater was telecasting the play performance of Danny Boyle's 'Frankenstein' that stars Benedict Cumberbatch (SHERLOCK *points to icon*) and when we had tried to buy tickets online it had sold out so we thought, hey, let's go down there anyway - maybe some seats will open up.

We went, they had tickets for 20 bucks, and the guy working the box office said the seats had 'obstructions' and we asked what exactly he meant by that and he said the seats were just really close to the screen - so we decided, okay, not too bad - we don't mind craning our necks as long as we get to see the show, right?

Guess what?

THE SEATS WERE PERFECT! I DIDN'T HAVE TO CRANE MY NECK - AT - ALL. THEY WERE SUPER CHOICE SEATS!

It was AMAZING. The play was fantastic and before the play we went to this resturant and got the most delicious snacks ever (Pancetta-wrapped shrimp, crab bisque, chicken tenders!)! Okay, so, away from the delicious food and back to the play, because I really haven't started to rave on it enough yet:

IT WAS AWESOME! EVERYONE DID A FANTASTIC JOB AND BENEDICT WAS VICTOR AND HE WAS SO HOT! AND GINGER! GAH!

And then this morning I watched the newest episode of Doctor Who and NO SPOILERS it was good too!

If I didn't feel sick - I would be in HEAVEN.

...I will probably elaborate on both the play and the episode in a later post when I feel better but I just had to squee in general on all the awesome sauce that has happened in my life lately!

frankenstein, epic!, benedict cumberbatch, sherlock holmes, doctor who, rl
