...why my sister drives me nuts

I recommended to Jena she watch 'Doctor Who', because it's awesome and Ten and Rose and aliens and running through the streets and yay!

So - she doesn't even make it through Season 1, saying it's, quote 'not her thing' and then proceeds to tell me she thinks her new 'discovery' Psych is soooo much better and I'm like:

Because, okay, Psych is a good show - but better than Who? And yeah, people are free to their own opinions and your cup of tea might not be my cup of tea but not only was it the way she said it, but it was obviously one of those 'she-didn't-discover-it-herself-so-it-can't-possibly-be-cool' things.

SHE DOES THIS ALL THE TIME AND IT DRIVES ME NUTS.

For example - I told her about Buffy AGES ago, because she loves vampires and she was all 'Ew! No! That show looks soooo stupid!' <---she actually said this, might I add, and she is older, so she considers herself more mature.

Then she 'stumbled' upon it herself a couple months ago and was all dismissive of the fact that I told her about it first. I swear to God, if she 'stumbles' upon Who later (like she actually watches a Tennant episode by accident or something) and likes it I will freakin' kill her!

And, okay, maybe I should have just started her off with the Tennant episodes but I wanted her to get a good grasp on Rose first and just...

Sibling rivalry?

Maybe - possibly - probably - but, for now, just *grr* *argg* *other grumbly noises of annoyance*
