Another Valentines Day, and I am nobody's Valentine...

...just the way I like it. I love this day because instead of being a day full of pressure (it has to be "special", "meaningful", "sentimental",) it can just be a day about my love for everybody. For people! I love people. I think everyone should take this great opportunity to celebrate the others in their lives, whether "significant" or not. And it's an excuse to wear my favorite necklace and give a lot of hugs. Not that it should be less meaningful for people who actually have significant others... I think it is just a different holiday for them; probably an equally awesome one.

Valentines Day, the way I like it best, is just me walking alone through people that I love, who are happy to know me and each other, and who enjoy an excuse to tell each other so. In love with everything and nobody, I always enjoy today.

P.S. Yesterday night I found myself standing serendipitously in front of the Bryn Mawr Film Institute one minute before a showing of The Diving Bell and The Butterfly was set to start, with a free pass in my wallet and nothing I that would rather be doing. I spontaneously went in and watched, and I would definitely recommend it. I would call it poignant, but not depressing. Make sure you don't see it with a movie-talker, though. It's that kind of film.
