I understand that you are upset that you were passed over for a promotion, despite the fact you feel you deserve it. I'm sorry you chose to believe the promotion choice was made entirely with favoritism, despite your "opponent's" many, many years in the business, though yes, lack of upper-lever experience. And most of all, I'm sorry you felt the need to come to work, throw a hissy fit and quit on the spot, offering no notice, nor even the good faith to finish out the day.
Would you like in on a little secret? You're an ASSHOLE! Maybe that's why you didn't get the job.
