so things have been looking up a bit since last week.
I'm not going to write what was going on, it was nothing juicy or worthy of gossiping about, so anyone who read it expecting it to be would be disapointed.
I've just been really learning on completely laying my trust in God to let Him lead me to make all my decisions in life-- His will is always the best...He knows more about me and my future than I will, so I'm pretty sure--- ok,positive that following His way is always a much better idea than following my way.
Anyways, the last couple of days have been really nice. Last night Michael and I decided to climb up Stone Mountain. Of course, yesterday just happened to be the coldest day we've had in probably the last year. Yeah, we're crazy. When we got to the top, it was so windy and cold that the windchill made it feel like it was about 10 degrees or under-- DEADLY COLD for someone whos only lived in hot climates all her life, but sooo worth it. It was so surreal to just be at the top and see all the lights from miles of city surrounding us, right as the sun was setting. We were the only people up there... it was so amazing. Seeing all of that with him right there with me was such a wonderful feeling.
Tonight we went to see Firewall, which was actually really good. The critics gave it bad reviews because it was 'too predictable', but hey-- they had all the elements in it to keep it really suspenseful. I was clenching my hand into michael's arm as tight as a pregnant woman does during labor.
What was kind of weird was that we were in there watching the movie with one of the more popular football players from the Atlanta Falcons. Too bad I have no clue what his name was...heck, I wouldn't have known he was famous had it not been the fact that my boyfriend is a huge football fanatick. But it was just weird seeing him at some movie theater in the mall...he was parked next to us in his $250,000 Bentley. Of all the places, he hangs out at the mall. haha. I find it funny that so many of the celebrities in Atlanta hang out at that mall. Its really not that great of a mall.
anyways, i'm just babbling now and i need to go to sleep. I get to be up in a few hours to serve a bunch of anal business men and middle-aged stay-at-home moms their coffee.
All i can say is that I'm truly greatful for the awesome customers that we do have-- i've met so many incredilbe people since I've worked there...esp older people. Its amazing what you can learn from them.
i hope everyone has a happy valentine's day!!! Even if you don't have a valentine tomorrow, who cares??? Show somebody you care about that you love them. I don't care if its your parents, your friends, or your dog. Just do it.
