This is my attempt at  review post for last night's finale episode of Ashes to Ashes. This will, obviously, contain some massive spoilers.

Oh... that was an amazing end. It was very satisfying because the clues were all there. It was more of a choice whether you wanted to figure it out or not.

Although I was a little wary before seeing the episode about the grave being Gene Hunt's - in my mind it was NEVER Sam - I was glad it was Gene's. And their acting was amazing in that scene; it literally tugged at the heartstrings before wrenching it out. Oh... poor Gene... it explains so much.

I agree. At times, Keats was a likeable character, but as soon as he held Viv in his arms as he died a few episodes back, you knew Keats was anything but a good soul. I have no idea how any times I muttered 'Creepy bastard' under my breath. Oh, and such a cruel trick trying to prey on Ray, Chris, Shaz and Alex... And those screams? I'm not sure screams is the right word. Cackles? Gnashing, maybe? Anyway, those sounds that he gives, it's like the noise of the devil himself, or at least one of his minions.

I thought it was "I knew Sam had to go, end of." instead of "Ann knew Sam had to go, end of" One thing I wanted to know was how Annie died in reality. Oh, how I wish Sam made an appearance though, even if it was only his voice drifting out of the Railway Arms.

Although, Chris and Ray had been there longer than Sam so why did Sam have to go before them?

That digital spy spoiler kind of ruined it slightly for me because during it I knew they were going to kiss so every so often the thought would push in my head, ruining the experience slightly.

Gene's last line was "A word in you shell-like, pal." I think it's the same first words he said to Sam in LoM.
