I do love these reading meme things... so here's another one!
For the Love of Reading
What have you just read?
The Diary of a Doctor Who Addict by Paul Magrs
What are you reading now?
Goodbye to Berlin by Christopher Isherwood
Do you have any idea what you'll read when you're done with that?
One Day by David Nicolls. I ordered it at the library where I work... still hasn't arrived.
What's the worst thing you were ever forced to read?
The Hobbit by J.R.R Tolkien. I've probably just offended a lot of Lord of the Rings fans.
What's one book you always recommend to just about anyone?
The Time Travellers Wife by Audrey Niffenegger.
Admit it, sadly the librarians at your library know you on a first name basis, don't they?
Of course they do. I work there.
Is there a book you absolutely love, but for some reason, people never think it sounds interesting, or maybe they read it and don't like it at all?
I don't know really. Nope, sorry: I have no idea how to answer.
Do you read books while you eat?
Sometimes, not often though - I'm clumsy, so I'm always afraid of spilling something on a book.
While you bathe?
Definately not. Number one, I have a shower (not a bath). Number two, I'm clumsy so I would most likely drop the book in the tub.
While you watch movies or tv?
Oh no. I have to have silence to read or I just can't focus on a book properly.
While you listen to music?
No.
While you're on the computer?
Not really - though I do read a lot of fanfiction when online. I suppose that counts?
When you were little did other children tease you about your reading habits?
No. I was a smart kid, they therefore found other things to tease me about.
What's the last thing you stayed up half the night reading because it was so good you couldn't put it down?
My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult. I had to stop reading at a crucial point, and could not sleep because I just had to know what happened next.
Have any books made you cry?
The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas by John Boyne came pretty damn close, but - I can't really properly cry at books. I hardly ever cry at movies.
