Guten morgan!

Hello all,

It's morning (it's about ten to eight, as I'm writing this). Soon I have to set off on my glorious journey for work but until then I can stay here and chat to you. I work today from half past nine to seven o'clock *cries*: oh, it's such a long, long day - but I have books to read on my breaks and countless episodes of Doctor Who and Futurama on my mp3 player, I think I'll somehow survive.
After today I have two days off! *fanfare* Wahoo! Cannot wait to sit around and... well, do nothing at all really. It'll be nice to be able to walk somewhere knowing I'm not heading off for a days work.
Work is good, it's okay. I've had a little bit of a problem with another member of staff which has thrown me right off really, so I have to deal with that. Plus it's a lot of standing around waiting to find something to do, or all the kids are in from the school across the road and it's absolutely crazy.
On the plus side it looks relatively sunny today, but knowing the great British weather it is probably freezing: how very British, discussing the weather. Well, later on a bit I hope to get writing some fanfiction - I get ideas for writing everywhere I am, I have four sentences of a fic saved in a text message on my phone that I suddenly thought up whilst on my lunch break at work.
It's days like these I wish I was back in Poland. Me and my family went to Krakow for a week in April - it was heavenly, I really miss it. Beautiful buildings, amazing history, friendly people, great food - yeah, it was all pretty fantastic - and on my birthday we were in a place called Zakopane, and there was snow everywhere. Incredible.
I wonder if anyone will ever read these? Ah well, it doesn't matter: I enjoy writing them! It's nice to be able to be completely honest about things for a change. I couldn't be that way on other sites, not when the-people-who-think-they-are-my-friends are watching.

Book recommendation: (well, I am a library assistant!) Mark Haddon - The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime

Song recommendation: Greg Laswell - Comes and Goes (In Waves)
