Holisdale: Round Two -- The McPherson Family

Sep 12, 2009 04:15

And back to the McPhersons; now a family with two adults, three teens and one child.

17 pictures; warnings include: underage drinking, I guess. Ha.

Let me start this update by saying that the second round of the McPhersons' pictures were also affected by the Attack of the Black Irfanview Screencaps that affected the first round's pictures seeing as they were taken at roughly the same time. Luckily, I didn't play the second round completely then, so only a couple of pictures are missing. :] Unfortunately, quite a bit happened in those pictures...

Arnold went off to college with two scholarships under his belt, Ashley and Tina both got jobs in hopes of being more responsible teenagers, Maybelle grew up into a teenager and Charlotte ranted and raved about the new Bailey baby and how it was unfair that Leslie could have another child and it seemed like she couldn't, no matter how much she put up with her husband's need to screw like rabbits.

Moving on...

This is Maybelle's new and much more mature teen look. She looks slightly different from both of her sisters, but you can still tell she's a McPherson.

Maybelle McPherson -- Pleasure; Sagittarius (2/3/9/7/4); LTW: Have 50 1st Dates; turned on by black and grey hair; turned off by brown hair

Tina was already getting chance cards at work--

--and failing at them. I'd forgotten she only had one cooking skill point. Luckily, she didn't get demoted or fired, so it's just a lesson learned.

I had newly created a Downtown (along with the Bluewater Shopping District) after setting up the Universities, so it was only right that straight after this new Downtown appeared, Tina would be getting invited out by people I didn't even know she knew. Actually, I'm pretty sure she doesn't know this woman. Either way, Tina is a Pleasure sim; there's no way she'd turn down a trip to Downtown, even if it is with a stranger. She hopped into her car and headed down to the best place (or rather, the first one) she could find.

She ended up going to some seedy bar and poker lounge called Lucky's or something, a place she definitely shouldn't have been able to go to. At least, not so easily. But Tina just strolled in as if she didn't think anything of it; not a single person in the place even batted an eyelid. She was in the clear.

Her "friend" wasn't at the bar yet, something Tina barely even noticed, so she took things up another step and plopped herself down on a bar stool, whistling at the bartender for attention. Hey, if she was going to go to a bar, she might as well take advantage of what was there, right? As time passed however, Tina was not the only teen to come into the bar. Still, no one seemed to care; perhaps this was normal? All Tina knew was that Lucky's was slowly becoming her new favorite hang.

She got her drink shaken (and not stirred) and sat at the bar chatting with the friendly bartender and the neighborhood Slob. Tina and the Slob got along very well actually and she figured she'd made a new friend coming Downtown. She was definitely going to have to do this more often.

After consuming her drink, Tina felt a little too excited and decided to head on over to the bar's karaoke machine. Unfortunately, she neither really knew the words to the song nor did she have a very good voice. The whole thing ended up being a dud and after her 37th dirty look or something, Tina flushed and put down the mic, slowly stepping away from the machine. Maybe karaoke just wasn't her thing.

That was okay though; Tina quickly recovered from her embarrassment. She played a couple of rounds of pool with a random assortment of people, earning a pretty sweet amount of cash and then when she was done with that, she just hung around with her friend the Slob. It was a good night overall and as the moon began to rise, Tina knew she had to go back home. A little sadly, she bid adieu to her new friends and promised to return soon. Maybe once she was in college.

Back at the McPherson house, Ashley had just finished preparing a lovely mac and cheese dinner for her family and was finishing up with setting the table when Ashley Pitts came out of nowhere and harassed her for spying on him. It was the Battle of the Ashleys as Miss McPherson finally showed her three nice points and did not back down, instead growling at Mister Pitts. He was, of course, taken aback, but she informed him that she'd never want to spy on his "hideous monkey ass" in her life. After their little "meeting," Ashley saw neither hide nor hair of Mister Pitts again.

A few hours after Tina returned home, she got this notification.

W.T.F.

Life moved on for the McPhersons and Matt continued to get more promotions and make not only himself, but his family proud. He was a good man, really; he just had some incredibly sexual urges and wasn't too responsible when it came to his own children. Of course, this move was proving to teach him family values and for the most part, he'd managed to keep his romantic thoughts on Charlotte only. Perhaps there was hope for their marriage after all then.

Ashley was beginning to develop some vain habits. She'd spend at least half an hour each day checking herself out on in the mirror, sometimes more than once a day. There was no denying that Ashley was pretty, but such behavior was worrying. I hoped it wasn't getting to her head, especially seeing as no one had shown any real interest in her as of yet. I didn't want her to have high expectations--you know, thinking that boys would just flock to her. Time to nip this flower in the bud.

Maybelle kept up her relationship with the Bailey girls, despite her mom's jealousy concerning Leslie Bailey and her new child. Maybelle loved hanging out with Zoe and Brooke and she figured that Paisley wasn't too bad either, even for her young age. It was nice to have such close friends in her neighborhood, Maybelle thought. She wanted to be friends with the girls for the rest of her life and hoped that they felt the same way.

After days of whining about how she couldn't get knocked up, it finally happened! Charlotte found herself pregnant and the moment she realized, she just started glowing with happiness and pride. Matt tried to share his wife's excitement even though he found himself wondering how the pregnancy had even managed to happen (not that they'd been playing it safe too often, mind you). He'd just gotten used to the size of his family now and interacting with them; he wasn't sure what a new baby would bring. Sure, Charlotte would be exuberant for the rest of her days, but Matt didn't want to be tied down by another child. He'd been so happy to see Maybelle grow up, so sure that his youngest was almost ready to fly the coop.

...But now what?

Matt had to go outside to clear his head and upon leaving his house, he stumbled upon a beautiful stranger. Matt being who he was couldn't pass up the opportunity to meet someone new and her timing was impeccable. Looking her up and down as he greeted her with a smile, Matt knew this woman would be the perfect distraction.

"Hey there. The name's Matt McPherson."

"I'm Marylena. Marylena Hamilton," she smirked back, obviously catching on to Matt's game and being a little too willing to play.

Uh-oh.

On an entirely different note, someone kept knocking over the McPhersons' trash can and so they got a roach infestation. And no, I'm not talking about that one group you see above. Imagine that group times ten and spread around the entire lot.

Yeah, that's how bad it got. And of course, they got the flu from it and spread it throughout the entire neighborhood. I saw more 'X has the flu...!' and 'X is healthy again!' notifications this round than I've ever seen in my entire time playing this game. I almost turned the headlines off, haha.

Well, that's it for the McPhersons this round. Next up, we've got the Bleckers.

Thanks for reading!
