Bloody Brilliant

I just got finished watching Robot Wars UK edition, not the US edition.

I think it's an awesome show, one that I rarely get to watch at all and of course it was an older episode, also one that I hadn't seen before, it was from 2001.

So the bloody brilliant part to it was at the very end of the episode, where Razor was battling it out with some robot to which I've forgotten its name for some apparent reason, anyway the robot got knocked on its side near the house robot Matilda's zone, CPZ I think it's called (I'm tired right now and details are alluding me for some reason), when Razor starts attacking Matilda.

Let it be said that Razor is this silver coloured beasty with a large crushing hook-type of weapon that can give 9000 pounds of pressure when in crushing mode, Razor is also one of my favourite robots on Robot Wars.

So, now imagine this little menacing robot attacking a house robot, which by the way are even meaner and nastier looking than what the roboteer robots usually look like, Matilda's no exception to this rule.

Razor got Matilda from the back, where a chainsaw is located, and starts crushing its metallic shell with what seems a dozen times rendering her useless, Razor also goes about crushing the other sides of the house robot. Matilda's insides end up in flames and burns for some time, the wreckage of Matilda was massive. I've never seen a house robot so pummled before. I've never seen a house robot actually BEATEN before. I've seen house robots get attacked before yes, but beaten? Never.

I was shocked and amazed at seeing this and ever so happy to see the destruction of a house robot, the house robots deserves to get the crap kicked out of them every so often. I've ALWAYS want to see a house robot get the beats, but it never seems to happen.

One house robot I would absolutely LOVE to see get destroyed is Sir Killalot. And Sir Killalot is the meanest, nastiest of ALL the house robots, by far also the toughest. It's weakness I'm sure is its tank-like tracks, you take those out and you will be able to reek bloody havoc on that house robot. Of course that's the hard part, getting to his tracks to destroy them, he's pretty quick and he's very destructive if he gets his hands on you. I've seen many a robot ripped apart by Sir Killalot, nasty, nasty boy he is.

Suffice to say, Matilda was messed UP. But it was repaired in the end. However, I've still never seen a house robot take that type of damage before, I'm not sure I ever will either.

I was thinking of the movie The Mummy Returns earilier. The movie to this day irritates the hell out of me. What the bloody hell was the point to that movie! When it first came out I thought it'd be quite good, just like the first one was quite good. But it was just AWFUL! It was so not believeable.

Reincarnation stories are interesting, sure. What Dreams May Come with Robin Williams was a good reincarnation story, though I was a little unsettled by the movie. I don't know why; I just was. Now I don't believe in reincarnation, but I do think the stories are interesting nonetheless. But I'm digressing.

Now, if Eve was really was reincarnated from being a warrior girl in Egypt with the guy who played the Mummy and also was fighting the love of his life with whom he tried to resurect in the first movie, wouldn't she have REMEMBERED it in the FIRST movie rather than just suddenly remembering it in the second? I highly think not. She would have remembered him from the get go in the first movie.

In the first movie, the entire poit of it was him trying to raise his long dead love up from the grave. So what was the bloody point in going and finding the Scorpion King's lair? I mean he ALREADY had his dead love alive and well with him, so why would he go there? What was the point in that? It was never explained, at least to my memory anyhow. There was no point to the movie at all. The movie was just bad.

The interesting thing I found was the previews, where the show the Rock. It shows him as a human with thousands of his warriors behind him going into battle.... You watch the movie and lo! The only time you see the Rock was at the end of the movie when he was a computer generated image being half-human, half-scorpian; but no fight scene with him as a human being and none of his warriors going into pitched battle.... So what was the bloody point in showing that in previews when The Mummy Returns was hitting the theatres?

Nothing gets under my skin more than stupid things, especially when I do something really stupid, and this was a very stupid movie. I only saw it a few years ago, 2001 I think it was, and I hated it. So once in a while it comes to mind as it did a few hours ago and when I think of the movie, I really do get irritated.

Now the third installment, The Scorpian King, really does look like a good movie. I've yet to actually see it, only because I've not gotten the chance to catch it. But the second movie.... What a bomb.... And not "da bomb" either.
