Monday is a good day
7:30am - Wake up. Wide awake. See that the boys are still sleeping. Slip out of bed without waking them. Drink kombucha. Start a load of wash. Clean up the kitchen. And the living room. Stuff diapers, put them away. Wrap mother-in-law’s birthday present.
8:00am - Shower, hair, makeup.
8:30am - Notice that the sweetest, most incredible little creature has crawled out of bed and come to find you. Pick him up. Cover him in kisses. Change his diaper. Dress him.
8:40am - Leave your house with both boys. Stop by Starbucks. Go to Mother-in-law’s house for a delicious breakfast of migas and waffles and decaf latte.
11:00am - Arrive back home. Head to Whole Foods to buy fish and other ingredients for dinner.
12:00pm - Hit the park with Keaton, Mason and Heather. Enjoy watching the little boys run around, enjoy sliding down the slide and climbing up the ladder. Realize that it is a gorgeous day.
1:00pm - Go to Freebirds for lunch takeout with M&H. Be flattered when the tall, handsome man says to Heather “your friend is beautiful.”
1:30pm - Arrive home with a sleepy baby. Nurse him, get him to nap.
2:00pm - Greet your mom and sister and enjoy lunch with them. Enjoy girl talk and food while the baby sleeps.
4:00pm - Shop for new winter clothes at the outlet mall. Find an awesome off-the-shoulder black sweater for $19.99. Enjoy playing tag with the baby.
6:30pm - Finally arrive home and put dinner together: orange ginger turbot, salad with chevre and raspberry walnut vinaigrette, black bean hummus and chips, brown rice.
7:30pm - Dine with family. Be grateful for them all. Forget to say so out loud, but know that they know.
8:30pm - Nurse sleepy child who kicks his feet happily while he nurses.
9pm - Let sleepy child wriggle out of your lap when he hears his Papa drive in from work. Let child play for 30 minutes until he just can’t hold his eyes open anymore.
9:30pm - Nurse child to sleep.
10:00pm - Journal, cuddle up to handsome, sweet husband. Watch stupid TV show.
11:00pm - Retrieve boy from his room, tuck him in beside you in bed., fall asleep.
