Ali's sick. I suspect it's an allergy to working too much, but he claims it's a cold to be struggled through and that it's nothing to keep him from, you guessed it, WORK.
We're having our house cleaned today in preparation for the Thanksgivingness that will occur next week. Oh how adult I must be that mine is the house to hold us for the big meal.
I'm basically done with Christmas shopping, but that's due to the lowered expectations this year. Ali and I aren't exchanging anything but stocking stuffers and the rest of my fam is doing a you-pick-one-person's-name-and-gift-them-only thing which I find to be both fiscally and environmentally responsible. It's also fun because it takes the obligation out of gift giving (except for to the one person whose name you drew) and leaves openness in which to take chances with fun small gifts. Good stuff.
The Tequila Christmas card photo shoot is next week at some run-down diner in east Austin. I've been told that I'll be wearing this and that everyone else will be in a bizarre costume, too. I'm excited about it.
