My feet hurt. The heels I wore to the Masquerade were high, and I was tall in them and wobbly. Michele was in heels, too, and Chris in blue patent leather loafers. We ate and chatted and left early, walking in the rain.
Then to the dojang to pickup Jeff and Ali for dinner, us in our fancy dresses and the dojang full of sweaty, smelly men. After dinner Michele, Chris and I hit The Brown Bar. I've been to bars before with friends but I've never plopped down AT the bar, chatted with the bartender, watched the scene. It was fun. We immediately located the cutest guy in the bar and kept tabs on him all night. At one point he came over to me and put is hand on my arm and whispered, 'I know this is a long shot but you're beautiful, can I buy you a shot?' It was so flattering. I said no.
Now it's the weekend. I took today off to hang with Michele, so I'm busy scouring the web for Austin-play-ideas. Soon I'll hit the store to buy flowers for the guest room and apples for the fruit bowl and lunch for my belly. In this moment I am so happy.
