It's very simple, really

What we have here is a clashing of dreams. Dreams seem light, puffy, floating, so it's funny to see that when two dreams butt heads, it actually makes quite a substantial sound.

Tukong is an Ali-dream, world travel is a me-dream. But Master gives Ali one week off a year, the week of July 4th, and travel is prohibitively expensive then. What's a girl to do?
I put all my money aside in a Lifetime Adventures savings account, with the idea that I'll be able to travel with it. I drive a cheap car, I rarely eat out, I treat myself to only cheap clothing (and only rarely), I'm a complete miser, all in the name of some day's travel. But here we are, in the prime of our youth, bound by things beyond our control, and stuck at home.

Luckily I have a fecund imagination, and I've decided that living a vibrant life of exploration can, at least for the time being, be done without straying too far from the dojang. For instance, I can get Chris to hold a Cooking Class at my house and introduce me to new food, and I can ask friends to join me so it's an exciting shared experience. I can grab my husband on March 16 for a drive to Dallas so we can go here for this. Maybe here, too. Anyone wanna join? And in these ways, I can enrich the stay-at-home life we have to live now, all the while saving up my Adventure Fun for something not even Master nor Money will be able to keep us from doing.
