This morning I woke up late and got out of bed to grab a cup of coffee. Ali woke up and grabbed my hand:

I don't *ever* want to have a hangover like that again. Ooof. Poor Ali & Co.
Oh well, sometimes one of those nights is worth it...supposedly. I keep saying I need to do that again, and I keep not doing it.
Running sounds decidedly more fun that throwing up, or listening to throwing up. Once these staples are gone from my leg, and this enormous hideous bruise that is like an alien bloodclot is gone, I'll be wanting to run! Be ready!
We need to go to the trail out at Walnut Creek and run. That is the trail that roguerunning uses for their trail running events and their class (or at least one of them.) I want to sign up for that event. Before I sign up for it, I'd like to see what I'm up against. It sounds scenic and interesting.
See if Ali would like to go out there and we'll all go run up and down hills, and through creeks, and stuff. (I'm thinking this might be a nike+ sensor unfriendly run, but I am tempted to see if that sensor is waterproof/water resistant)

I am such a very very slow runner, but I'd LOVE (and Ali says he'd love, too) to get a group together at Walnut creek to run a bit and then maybe have a picnic out there and enjoy the day? Maybe we can do that next Sunday? Do you think your leg will be run-ready by then? Maybe tht will keep you running slowly so you and I will match pace! I'm like you, though, don't worry: I don't talk much when I run. I love what Sheilagh calls "indiret company," though!
Walnut creek really IS a great idea.. It's so near our house!

With the WC course, our pace will be different...it'll be slower...and for me, at least, the run will be a lot more demanding.
My courses right now are mostly flat. There are *significant* hills out there, from what I understand. Because of this, I don't know if I can say my leg will be run ready by next weekend. I don't even get my staples out until Wednesday, and the way they feel right now, I can safely say I won't be running until at least the day/day after those are out. That'll be the first time for me to run in over a week. Oof!
Maybe we can shoot for 2-3 weeks? That'll give me time to get some endurance back and hopefully every last bit of swelling in my leg will be gone!

Hills are hard but possible, I think, but uneven terrain kinda scares me. I have weak ankles that turn easily and sprain at the drop pof a hat, so uneven ground will be tread on very lightly by me! Sloooowly.

That stuff is aweeeesome for stabilizing ankles. We used to use tape like that in gymnastics. That'll make them stable and happy in case you run into uneven ground!
