Someone gave Ali some jasmine tea for Xmas, and I've recently become addicted to it. Since I'm off coffee (TTC), the jasmine tea is my new default hot beverage. I love it. Or, rather, I loved it, until I ran out ( Read more... )

Sugar-free products contain a bunch of weird chemical shit that may have wacky-negative impacts on new little embryos. Tea with honey, particularly green tea or herbal teas, are GOOD for you!

Also, please please read this page:

At least scroll down past the pictures and know that a detailed reading of the article will allow you to connect eating good, healthy fats with the production of babies that have wide jaws & uncrowded teeth. The pictures show people who lived close to the land (eating veggies and meat and real food) paired with their neighbors, in particular neighbors who started eating flour, sugar, and processed fats (like Crisco, etc). The neighbors who ate the processed food (replacing natural meats and veggies) ended up with children with crooked teeth.

Weston A Price was a dentist who noticed this weird trend in his patients, where good fats in diet lead to straight teeth & "fake" fats lead to crooked teeth. He research dozens of cultures back in the 50s. Fascinating stuff!

Animal fats, particularly butter. Your body knows how to burn butter. It doesn't really know how to convert Crisco into calories. Babies are made of meat & fat & bone, more than flour & sugar :)

I'm all about butter. And olive oil. And avocado! and olives.. mmmm.. I am TOTALLY with you about the importance of no flour/processed sugar/etc. Whole/natural/real foods = good foods! I'm plotting all sorts of evil manipulative ways to convince my child that sugar/McDonald's/etc are to be avoided at all costs. heheh. No bad food here!

I did! I totally believe it, though. And the pix only show the physical affects of good food, imagine all the emotional/psychological ones!
