Half way!

Now that I'm half way through it, I have to admit that being pregnant has been a lot more pleasant than I was led to believe. My migraines have cleared up, my allergies have almost disappeared, I haven't caught any of the colds going around and I lost 10 pounds in the first trimester. In the month and a half since then, I've only gained 5 back. Woo hoo!

I haven't had many symptoms and often forget I'm expecting until someone reminds me. I have a jab here or there but nothing major like morning sickness. The biggest problem I've been dealing with is sleeplessness. Sometime it's because my hips hurt (like last night), other times I just wake up and can't get back to sleep.

I was overjoyed this week to find out that he's a boy. The idea of carrying a person of the opposite sex is fascinating. I like to claim that I'm a hermaphrodite now since I represent both sexes.

It seems like I've been pregnant forever. My friend only has 9 weeks to go in her pregnancy and I can remember when she was as far along as I am. It seems like a week ago. I guess time will fly.

I have my exam for my masters coming up in October. I'm a little forgetful and hard to motivate right now so I'm trying to force myself to study and do the readings involved. I'm worried that I won't be able to remember anything.
