A/N: This is how I imagine qmi got together. So simple it's lame. xD
It wasn’t a confession as much as it was a statement.
“You like me.”
Flat, matter-of-fact. Expression for once without a twinkle of mischief, mouth set in a line that seemed to forbid questions and meaningless denials.
And his bright smile faded away to nothing.
“…Yes. I do.”
Silence, then. Slightly awkward as they each tried to look at each other without looking, to gauge, to assess.
“You like me, too.”
Just short of a question, an uncertainty in those shoulders.
Their eyes did meet, then.
Did he?
He’s too tall, his brain supplied Too emotional. Too happy. Too touchy-feely. Probably clingy. Too male.
But their mouths met anyway, and his lips were warm and eager and tasted just like he’d expected. Because h had xpected.
And he scowled slightly as they parted for breath.
“You’re too tall.”
And the laugh he got then made him sure, even if he couldn’t say it outright.
But, then again, “like” didn’t really seem strong enough, anyway.
