Gacked from
cruisedirector: If you had to delete all but five of your stories, which five would you keep and why? (Or ten if you're more prolific.)
Doing the fanfic version (as opposed to the original erotica version).
All are ST:Voyager. They're not necessarily the best (some of the older ones definitely need a brutal edit), or the most popular, but they're the ones that mean the most to me. They're in the order I found them on the page, that's all. I didn't consider any collaborative efforts, or stories that are companion pieces to someone else's work, as the original story obviously colours my story. That's a pity in a way, as it eliminates some of my favorites. For the most part, they're the type of stories I like to read from other people, and hence they're the ones of my own that I will re-read. There are many of my own that I will NEVER re-read for various reasons, mainly because they make me shudder as to how bad they are. That could be a meme in its own right!
1.
Watching the Stars (J/C)
I love J/C being old together. The setting is a real one, that is special to me.
2.
The Seeker (J/f)
This is how I see Janeway falling in love with a woman. Not to be definitive about it in general, but for me, this is how it would be
3.
Nothing to Wear It makes me laugh. It's completely happy. It's a crew story. :)
4.
Her Mother's Replicator I love introspective stories and this is one I'm proud of.
5.
Mind Games Badly written, but I have a soft spot for it.
6.
Song of the Desert Stars Yeah, it's a sequel to one of the only stories I've removed, but I still like it. It's too wordy in places, the writing could really be tightened up, but it's still one of the first stories that I really felt was a true representation of how I would like my writing to be. That doesn't mean it's GOOD (it's not), but it's a turning point in my writing.
7.
Flotsam and Jetsam It's dark and evil and decidedly not nice. It's the darkest thing I've ever written by a long way, but hell, I like it! *g*
8.
Little Creatures I thought it was total crap when I was writing it, and I was very worried my match (it was a VAMB gift exchange story) would be very disappointed. But after a long, long time editing I ended up being pleased with the result. Very pleased. IMHO, this is possibly the best written (fanfic) I've ever done.

Paper-Thin World This was supposed to be my swan song of Voyager fanfiction, as well as a deliberate attempt to write something long. Hence, it combines many elements of what I love to read (hot C/P, loving C/P, major conflict, hot J/C, loving J/C, introspection, choices, arsey Tom Paris, and a bittersweet, somewhat open-ended ending [for Tom]). I consider it a fitting swan song (even if that turned out not to be the case *g*).
That's only nine, but I think I'll leave it there.
