I'm on chapter 3 at present and have to stop and pace myself so I can savor the story and absorb the cleverness of the premise. I love origin stuff - the ingenuity in creating a backstory for characters we adore. The benefit of reading your stories is that you make the effort of getting into the fandom so worth it. Every time I 'get' a subtle reference, it's a thrill; you feel aligned with the writer as though you're both in on the 'joke.' It's lovely so far. :-)
