why is this the journalists fault??

Fox pulling their films is a big deal to stocks, businesses, the can economy, PR, etc. Which makes it quite news worthy and a national paper would be remiss in their duties to report the news if they didn't cover it.
It also brings up further copy right issues pertaining to artists, writers and photographers; Canada is too soft on such offenses and a Canadian artists, etc copyright remains virtually unprotected.

It's the journalists fault because alot of the article is bullshit, and the journalist either didn't care enough to fact check or was paid to parrot everything a couple of rich movie execs are whining about.

Also, the article wasn't about copyright. It's about camcordering and piracy. You don't see any mention of talented-yet-poor joe musician in there, it's all "wah wah wah someone can walk into the theatre with a recording device and walk out alive". The article is about some already wealthy motherfuckers trying to change the federal laws that effect millions just because they think they are losing a couple of bucks.
