I went to ARC yesterday (American River Community College) and sat down with one of their course councilors. It looks like I will only have two years of classes to take (at the slow speed) to get my transferable AS in Computer Information Systems. If I was going for my Career Certificate in Data Structures, I might be able to cut that down to a year and a half. Problem that comes up is that it's been long enough since I did the math that I need refreshers. If I have to go all the way back to Trig, then Calculus II is at least 4 classes away and ARC is on the Semester system.
It strikes me that my cat is now fricken HUGE. He's about 14" at the shoulders and 12 lbs. with not so much fat (still some, just not so much).
Back from side note, if I go for just the career certificate, then I have a slightly shorter time to completion. Not much because a lot of the courses require other courses as the prerequisites. Also, to be able to transfer to a four year (the plan with the AS, CIS degree), then I will also probably need 2 physical science classes and an extra English class.
We shall see, now shan't we?
