Orientation
Well orientation was alright. I have a SUCKY schedule..but i'm going to try to change it when drop/add comes. All the classes were already taken.
I met some really kick ass people. It's nice going over there with friends already. I got a chance to meet everybody from my major that came to orientation the day that I did. Most of us are in the same chem class..so i know a lot of people in my chem class and lab..so that's good. Of course, my chem class has 100 people in it..so..lol. Anyway..I love it over there..i really do.
I already have like a best friend over there..haha. She's a dumbass like me so..lol..just kidding. We got lost actually..how the hell do you get lost at VSU..well WE DID. We were so confused. Anyway..we were instant friends. Something that is surprising though..she's a cheerleader. We have 3 classes together.
I got to meet my Chem Lab lecture and quiz professor. He's a nerd that cracks lame jokes..but lol..he's cool. I think he liked me..he remembered my name actually more than anybodies. I don't know if that's because he was interested in me because i was really small and young looking or what..lol. But I have 13 hours.
I'm taking Macroeconomics, US History to 1865, Speech, Chemistery principles 1, Chemistery principles Lab 1.
My classes are spread out. I'd rather get them over with..but that's okay. I have like class in the mornings on tuesday, wednesday, and thursday..and then my other classes on those days are like 6:30 at night. So I have like 8 hours between classes those days. My classes on monday and friday..are in the afternoon..i only have one each day.
I had issues because I've already taken A LOT of my core classes...so I had issues about what to take..but my advisor..which is one of my professors that I have was like "well..since you can't take math..take speech because you have to have it anyway"...but fuck speech. When drop/add session comes up..I'm dropping speech to try to get a math in.
But I'm excited..I'm ready to go. I'm striving for all A's..i heard i got the KICK ASS chem professor..and also a good easy econ professor..so yay.
I'm excited.
However, I am NOT excited about work. I swear to God they think I'm a fucking work machine..shit. Their lazy butts need to hire somebody else. Last weekend..I had to work close on friday, and saturday..I left saturday about 12:30..I had to come back to work Sunday morning at 9:45...and yeah..I was informed when I got there "shay..you have to work a double today"..yeah so I was up there for about 8 hours straight..with no break..and it was busy as hell. And then they had me working monday morning..but I got out of that shit..then I had to work tuesday..I was off today..and they posted the new schedule..and it's the same damn shit..close friday, saturday, work a double on sunday, and work monday morning and tuesday night. FUCK IT. We lost like 2 hostesses and they won't hire somebody else..and I'm getting sick of it. I make good money..i had like 100 dollar weekend in tips..but damn. I'm a part time employee..not full time..and i'm full time right now. I'm sick of it.
Speaking of work..I've finally decided that I'm going to transfer to the applebee's in valdosta. Sabrina is the manager over there..she worked in thomasville for awhile. Also..one of my former hostesses works there. But the only thing is..I'm going to only be able to work monday, tuesday, thursday, friday, saturday, and sunday. BUT..i'm going to tell sabrina..that I can't do that..I'm gonna tell her the times I can work each day..and she can pick like 4 days for me to work because I have to have time to study.
