Back for a fourth year and following the overwhelming response to last year's Christmas Celebrations, we're upping the ante and going bigger and brighter this year! This year, Free Community Church will be having our Christmas Celebrations at the Lee Foundation Theatre, NAFA Campus 3 on Bencoolen Street, on Christmas Day (Monday 25 December) at 5pm and love to have you join us!
This year's programme features a hilarious new comedy, entitled "A Fawlty Christmas". Written as a spoof of the popular British comedy from the 1970s "Fawlty Towers", it tells the Christmas story from the perspective of an uptight, overwhelmed inn-keeper who is placed in a very difficult spot of trying to manage an overbooked hotel, dealing with a hotel inspector who shows up unannounced, and guests with money going missing. All this while trying to find a place to house Joseph and Mary who's about to have her baby!
Award-winning Singapore author, Suchen Christine Lim, is also back this year with a brand new short story entitled "The Stepfather". And we also have the privilege of having popular local choir Vox Camerata join our singers and musicians to usher in the festivities with a rousing selection of Christmas anthems and carols! Finally complete the Christmas experience as we share in Holy Communion together followed by a free Christmas buffet dinner catered by the award-winning Purple Sage!
The event is FREE for everyone so bring your friends along and ALL donations collected this year will benefit the children at the Assocation of Persons with Special Needs (APSN) Katong School! So mark your calendars down for a Christmas evening at the beautiful Lee Foundation Theatre on Bencoolen Street! And do try to get there as early as you can as there is limited seating available. =)
