So, I went to Seattle yesterday for my second interview with Wave Broadband. The drive was long, and kind of boring, considering I had nobody to talk to. (Talking to yourself gets boring after a while as well.) By the time I got there my voice was all messed up because I was singing along with every cd I played, for 6.5 hours. But I got there with half an hour to spare, so I relaxed in the car (I rented a silver PT Cruiser. It was cool to not have to worry about the car breaking down), and then got ready for the interview. I took a white button up shirt, but didn't wear it on the drive so I wouldn't spill anything on it. When I'm wearing white, I'm an accident waiting to happen. LOL. I even took out all my jewelery for the interview. Went up, got started on the interview, and they flat told me that my technical background was impressive and that they didn't have to ask me any of the technical questions. Then we went through some customer service questions, and I answered those 100% right on. So then I talked to the VP of Technical Support (He was wearing shorts and a t-shirt. Goes to show how relaxed a place it is) and he said the same thing. Asked me a couple more Customer Service related questions, and told me some about the company and all that. Then he asked the ever popular question: "Why should I hire you?" I've never been able to answer that without hesitation before. This time though, without missing a beat, I looked him in the eyes and said: "Because I can do the job and do it well." So, about 15 minutes later, the Tech Supervisor pulled me into the corporate conference room, and said that normally they would think it over and call someone back if they were offered the job, but with me, they were so impressed with my background, and with how I interviewed, that they offered me the job right then and there! I've got the job! They're thinking they want me to start in the next 2 weeks, but I told them I'd like a month or so to get relocated, so they are looking into it to see what they can do to accomodate me. So we'll see what happens. But sometime within the next month or so, I'll be moving north! I'm so excited. But now, I'm looking at my apartment and wondering where the hell I start with the packing! So anyway.... So there's my update. Major things are afoot at the Circle-K. LOL.. Don't ask. I'm still slightly sleep deprived. Here's to hoping everything goes the way I'm hoping!
Love and light to all,
