Blinded (old poem)

“Blinded”

I’m reaching outwardly

They don’t see

I’m still here

Yet, I’m no where near

Can you see me?

You who don’t know my name

Holding on to shred of faith

Yet all else is to blame

I am just the messenger

I am here to only proclaim

I will help you hear the whispers

As He calls your name

I know you are hurting

The pains so deep down under

Know you are never without help

When answers seem so vain

I am the guardian

I will help you to see

Just where do you think you’re going?

There’s only so far to proceed

I know what you need

You think you are so alone

But no one can ever be

We are blinded by misery
