It's a long story - but i saw someone's user icon with a really cute "powerpuff" style pic of luna lovegood...so i went on a search for more images like that... and i found this:

Kids can now "fly" a Nimbus 2000 broomstick just like the members of their favorite Quidditch team. A replica of the broom Harry uses in the movie Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, the Nimbus 2000 features a grooved stick and handle for easy riding. Enhancing the excitement are the vibrating effects and magical swooping and whooshing sounds the broom makes when on. Sounds can also be activated when the switch is set in standby mode. Requires three AA batteries (included). --Larry White

Because there's nothing like zooming around the house with a vibrating stick between your legs...

I think the Nimbus 2000 is perfect for any age; Harry Potter fan or not! (But really, who isn't a Harry Potter fan?)
I'm 32 and enjoy riding the broom as much as my 12 yr old and 7 year old. The vibrations, along with the swooshing sounds make for a very magical journey! It is a very durable toy, as well. My only complaint is, I wish the batteries didn't run out quite so quickly! This toy is a wonderful escape into a world of imagination!

I gave this as a gift to my cousin Jessica who is a huge Harry Potter fan. My aunt can't stop thanking me enough. She says Jessica plays with it, pretending to be Hermione, riding it around her room or outside in her yard until she's exhausted. Great gift idea, not just for boys.

Well, I had my doubts of buying my daughter such a toy, but she seemed to like this movie a lot so..I got it. I wasn't too keen on letting her play with it when the batteries were in so I took them out. I mean come on it VIBRATES ...

I just got this for my girl-friend who is in love with harry potter. She loved the broom (it replaced the 'normal' one), and she now has a full outfit that she can wear for Halloween. And even i enjoy it at times too. Even though we're 21, your never too old for a toy with this much FUN!

I recently bought this toy for my 10 year old son, I wasn't sure if he thought it through, though. I personally didn't see too much of a flare to it, it just looked like a broomstick...  Now let me tell you a story: I have to go to work early in the morning, so I have to go to sleep early. One night he was playing with it late at night when his friends where staying over for a sleep-over, and I couldn't get any sleep what-so-ever. The toy had reached the point of annoyance, and I felt I had to return it. Personally, it's just a broom stick, don't waste your time.

I recently bought this for my son, Vantro. He's a HUGE Harry Potter fan. Seen the movie 32 times (in the theaters) and made the paper. This toy gives him the ability to fly around the house zapping things. My only problem I see with the toy is the batteries drain too fast and his sister fights him over it, so now I need to buy her one.

annnd i found this picture!
