No school tomorrow! I got the call for my district around 8. The girls all went to bed thinking they would be going tomorrow. Ha. Just turned off my alarm. They shouldn't have canceled today. The storm came in much more slowly than predicted. That's hindsight for you. Now that I don't have to get up early, I'm not regretting my long late nap this afternoon.
We moved out of our old neighborhood of 10 years in November. Two of our best friends live in the neighborhood and their kids and our kids are great friends. It was really hard to leave them and the convenience that our proximity afforded those friendships. But, since then, one friend lost his job (and is possibly seeking a wrongful termination suit due to major political bs) and their house is on the market. They are driving out to CO for a second interview this week. Our other friend family is putting their house on the market in late spring and moving to CA to care for her mother. Changes. Poor Ava, she and the other two second grade girls are BFF. She is rather overwhelmed by it all. Oh, and she was doing pull ups on a soccer goal at Aspen's game on Sunday and it fell on her. She hurt her arm/wrist. We babied it today, but I think she's going to need to have it looked at tomorrow. She's having a rough time of it all.
Anyway, now we're in the market for new local friends.
