Ok, we got the yard mowed, we got tags for my van, and we moved my husbands broken down car into our drive way, and put a car cover over it. A man my husband worked with has a hobie car that he works on and he said to keep code enforcement from towing it away he has to keep a car cover over it when he isn't working on it. So we thought we would give it a try, since my husband REALY likes his little car and it's FANTASTIC on gas. (a little two seater convertible) It's the perfect thing for him to drive to work in when it's actually running. We just have such a hard time finding parts, because they have stopped making them, but he knows enough about mechanics that he has been able to use some parts that weren't intended for that make and model. He calls it his franken stine car. LOL! but it's a oober cute car.

The house next door to us is vacant, but the owner has been doing a lot of repairs and expanding on it for the past year. They are extremely careless with there building supplies, and in the years time they have been working on it we have had countless air leaks in our tires because of them being punctured by the nails that are just being left around to be washed out into the road every time it rains. (that's why the tire on my van was low) Yesterday it happened again,(in my MIL's car she is letting us borrow) but this time I didn't catch it in time, and I ended up having to drive a short way on the rim before I could safely stop. That of course COMPLEATLY ruined the tire, so it couldn't be repaired it had to be replaced! We only had $19 in the bank so we ended up having to go into the over draft to get the tire (I hate doing that!) My MIL loaned us some money so we will be able to cover it, but now we are going to have to pay a $25 over draft fee that could have been used on something else!

We still haven't gotten a unemployment check yet, and the check we were expecting from DH's 401k two days ago, will not actually get to us for up to another week or week and a half. The money my MIL loaned us it the amount we are getting from the 401k. We are just going to sign the check over to her when it gets here and deposit it into her bank account. Thankfully MIL had the money in the bank to be able to do that for us, and we are going to be able to pay this months bills, and if there is any money left over we are going to buy the kids school supplies and some badly needed overalls for my nine year old. (he's a chubby little thing and pants tend to slip down on him too far because of his belly. hehe)

We've filled out the paperwork, and we are going to make a trip to the bishops store house tomorrow. (that's really going to help ALOT) We were even given $20 to help us out on gas. (since it's over a two hour drive)

So ya, we are doing good. Thanks to heavenly father and people who love us. I'm very grateful for all the kindness people have shone us, including my LJ friends. Thank you.

I've got to go so I can print out resumes for my husband. (he's going out job hunting today.)
