I recently wrote an
article about the deadly consequences of withholding clean needles from prisoners, based on an important new Canadian study.
My article takes as its starting point an assumption that there will always be drug use in jail, and that preventing people from protecting themselves from blood-borne diseases is a cruel and ultimately expensive exercise.
