(no subject)
Wow. It's been awhile since I've updated on this doodad. Work has been hell. And I will spare you all and leave it at that because I know you all are creative enough to imagine how horrible retail is around this time of year.
Meanwhile... I went up to B-ham yesterday, signed my new lease, got the keys and moved about half of my stuff into my new apartment. The good news is that the kitchen is actually bigger than I remember it being. The bad news is that neither my bedroom nor the bathroom have doors on them (how I didn't notice that when I went to look at the place the first time, I do not know). So my plan is to hang curtains in front of them and hope that visitors don't have a problem not having an acutal door on the bathroom. Everything else about the place is just fine. We had to take the door off its hinges to get my desk moved in, so it's doubtful that the couch my parents are giving me is going to fit either, but we'll try. As we were moving stuff in, one of my neighbors came and introduced himself. His name's Ryan and he seems really nice (very reassuring for me).
I can just imagine how skeptical everyone is about this place, especially my parents. But hey, it's small, but it's very cute, has a lot of character, is super close to school, and is something I can afford by myself. I figure everyone has to live in a sketchy place once in their lives anyway.
So, I'm going back on the 26th to try to get everything else moved in, and start to get things organized and maybe even decorated.
When I was over at my other place, Kevin was still there, but he was packing a bunch of stuff up (probably getting ready to go home). I really really don't like the guy, but I sincerely hope that he gets help with his drug problem.
Julie: Do you have any idea when Eve/Collette plan to be back at the house? There's some kitchen stuff that I'm not sure is mine, and I wanted to talk to them before I packed it all up to go to my place :)
day off tomorrow = best news I've had all day.
