The Edmonton Oilers have made the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time since 1990.

This has been my most intense year as a hockey fan.  For the first time Dad and I decided to get NHL Centre Ice so we could follow our teams every night.  As an Oiler fan I never got to see more than 10 games a year.  This year, I saw almost every game.  It's a ( Read more... )

Well I hope its Buffalo in the final with Edmonton, much more exciting BUT ! consider Carolina and Edmonton are pretty much the same team, a mix of young talent with some vets. Should be interesting final

Ick, tonight is just a heartbreaker. I'm pulling for Buffalo, for you to be able to go see your team in a Cup final live, and because the Sabres have been a great story and representation of the new NHL. And having seen a game in Buffalo earlier this year, they've got good fans for whom it would really be nice to have s'more success to celebrate. Plus, if the Sens are gonna go down, it's good that they go down to the team that represents the East, at the very least. It sucks that injuries are just killing them right now; I hope they can recapture their momentum somehow.
