So I just finished my last day of work. I was so gleefully happy the majority of the night that it was almost ridiculous. I discovered a way to make a pump truck fishtail while driving it backwards, so I spent alot of time riding around the store on that. Generally Jenn threatens to fire whoever does this, but it didn't seem like much of a threat tonight. Coincedentally I also worked much quicker somehow. Apparently when you're happy you do better at everything. That's my new theory atleast.
I said my goodbyes to everyone that was working there. Most of them didn't seem to care too much, though that fact didn't phase me at the moment. Aaron was the only one that really seemed to have much to say at the end, although I suppose everyone else was bugging me about it for the rest of the night before that. It doesn't matter; it was such a good feeling. I've been there so long and I've been going there so constantly that I don't think it's totally sunk in that I don't have to go back. I have just a taste of this truth so far, but it certainly tastes very delicious. I would like some more.
Before going to work I stopped by Aren's house. To be more exact I drove around Violet Hill confused for a long time, finally finding her house just in time to make me late for my last shift at work. The directions she gave me were to be taken under the assumption that I started out from 3rd line, despite the fact that she told me to make the turn at 4th. I was just angrily doing U-Turns while trying to get my cell phone to work for a solid 15 minutes.
I finally got there and we talked for a little while. I really like Aren, it's a shame we didn't really become better friends for whatever reason. It was good to see her though. She said that we should all do something at Christine's the week before move-in day. Christine had already said something about that and I agree that it would be a good idea. I'm just not entirely sure when that will fit in. I have those last few days so solidly booked with events and what not--I'm kind of trying to make up for working all summer by taking part in a concentrated amount of awesomeness. I still have the Thursday completely free though, and Friday night I guess. I need to make more plans!
Today is the day where I begin to turn my sleep schedule around. I suppose I could kind of ease myself into entirely shifting my sleep pattern around, but I think the whole 'stay awake for 16 more hours' plan is better and, in all likelihood, much funnier. What makes it even better is that I'm leaving for Toronto in like an hour and a half. I'll be downtown all day. As usual, this is a most excellent idea. I haven't been to Queen Street all summer though, so I have to capitolize on such an opportunity when it arises. I'll just have to make myself very caffeinated I suppose. Or, better yet, I can just run off pure HAPPINESS until tomorrow night. I'm not sure if they've yet tested that as a potent energy source, but I'm willing to bet there's more than enough power in HUGE AMOUNTS OF HAPPINESS to get me through the day. And I am so very happy to be done with Zellers, and I am definitely looking forward to the next week or whatever.
When I'm very happy I find that everything else makes me even happier still. The cat just ran out of the room away from me and she slipped and sort of ran into the wall a bit. I found that to be so funny. This process of pertual happiness will only continue until eventually I explode..or it stops. I'm leaving now. :)
