Rain, teeth and electonic chaos

Monsoons are here. Pulled out my authentic Lunenburg N'or Easter bonnet (see new icon) and it feels so warm and cosy that I've decided to wear it all day, even inside.

I need cosy today. It's sheeting rain. That's way beyond pouring. The lake has risen a foot in 18 hours. Our creek is a whitewater delight.

Also because on Friday night a piece of my back molar got chipped on a piece of uncooked popcorn. The jagged edge of what's left has shredded my tongue into ribbons. Our new medical/dental plan doesn't kick in for another month and I just can't afford to get it fixed before that. So I've stuffed a piece of gum into the hole and around the edges but it keeps loosening and dropping out. I've considered taking some sandpaper to the tooth. Whaddya think?

My final reason for craving cosiness today is to take another edge off; seems I'm in the middle of an electronics rebellion. My computer, digital camera, stereo, car heater, even the dang toaster oven have all decided not to work properly. It's such a pain having to "make do" all the time.

Surprisingly though, I feel very happy today. I think it's the hat.
