A Feast in the Field: 20x16 Acrylic, gel transfer, straw.

I finally got around to reorganizing my site Galleries and adding a few new pieces. The one above is for a show next week with the theme of Sharing. It's a departure for me, using a lighter palette and doing more impressionist realism (is that even a proper term?). I really like it. (The photo doesn't capture the colour properly...I think my old Kodak digicam is on its last legs.).

Funny how that happens, eh? That some work strikes a special chord?



I'm also really happy with the final version of Cut Block 385. This is a detail from the lower left corner. A completely different feel, but equally a part of my environmental surroundings. I love the fact that I live in a place where primitive forests and pastoral farmland abound...so far.
