At CJ's right now. Been keeping a travel log, so I thought I'd post some of the more exciting excerpts to keep you guys interested:
Drive was uneventful. Learned that even though I can’t for the life of me open Propel bottles, apparently I can while I’m driving 70 miles per hour down US-2. Followed sister’s advice as best I could, though, and tried to keep at least one hand on the wheel.
Drove 50 mph over the bridge, sandwiched between a panel van in front of me, and a pickup truck with a plow to my side. They were also both doing 50 mph, which is lucky, else I could have been injured. Thought while over the bridge about how traffic must really bottleneck coming into the UP because it’s posted 45 miles per hour on the bridge, but 70 up until, then 55 after.
Decided not to use a map for the trip in the L.P. Figured I knew the way, and had instructions from Shanna about which roads to take. My windshield got real dirty, though, and it ruined my plan; I pulled off an exit to wash the windshield (because I wasn’t sure if the wiper would work having just replaced the passenger side wiper blade, and having forgotten to test to make sure it worked). Well, I pulled off the wrong place, so I ended up on M-55. Got out the atlas, and discovered I could take M-55 to Cadillac, and that all was going well. The speed limit was slower, but no one else seemed to notice either.
Learned that peeling a banana while driving 80 is fun, but not something one should probably do regularly. But I did it twice anyway.
