Sock Knitting.

So I'm working on a new pair of socks. They're using the yarn and pattern set I got from Eric for my birfday, and I love the yarn and the fabric that's being created.

I've got the cuffs done on each sock, and 4 repeats of the pattern stitch. When I went to try the sock on, though, it wouldn't go over my ankle. I got very disheartened, thinking I would have to take the whole sock apart because it's not big enough.

Took the sock off the needles, rather frustratedly, and then put it on. It was a little tight going over the ankle, but it fit perfectly around my leg. Not too tight or anything.

So I unraveled a bit and redid it. Now I'm just going to try to knit a smidge looser for the rest of the socks. I don't want them too big-- the cuff is the perfect size, but the pattern is pulling in at the leg more than I thought it would.

Either way, I'm excited about these socks, and I can't wait to finish them so I can show them off. I just hope they fit, because if they don't, that would suck.
