Freshmen year, where the frick did you go. What have I even learned this year?
I am sick of sitting and studying. I am fat, and white and slow and tired. I have spring fever, cabin fever.
I want to:
fly a kite.
ride a bike.
run.
lay in the sun.
lay in a hammock.
lay in the grass.
dig in the garden.
walk in the woods.
go birdwatching lol.
eat nothing but fruit. and vegetables.
swim in a lake.
look at the sun.
i've been reading this book about how to use all your senses in glorifying God. its actually quite fascinating. C.S. Lewis puts it as enjoying the physical thing as a way of looking along it unto God. that doesn't make sense, C.S. Lewis says it much better. but he says, its like a beam of light, coming from the sun. you can enjoy the beam, itself, or you can enjoy the sun from where the beam comes from while you're enjoying the beam. its part of enjoying the beam.
its crazy cause, this puts a whole new spin on enjoying little things in life- because its all designed to point us back to God. what an insane, crazy idea.
