(no subject)
Im supposed to be studying for an Italian Midterm tomorrow, but im taking a little break. Im jealous because I want to go out to this fabulous night club ( sucky part is drink are kinda pricey and the way bars work here is wacky. You get a punch card where you get three drinks. Once u get punched three times you have to go pay it off to get another card. If you loose the card you owe 50 euro which is like 70 US dollars. All drinks, even if u get just water (i never get water there) are 8 bucks a pop. Expensive but its really the only club that is super cool and plays hip hop on wednesdays on their big floor and friday on the smaller one.) Last night I saw the Italy vs German game (soccer, world cup ect) We went to the Piazza Michelangelo and it was AMAZING. It was sooo packed with a million people and they had the game projected on too a really big tower and smaller tvs everywhere. It was madness when the Italian team won in double over time and scored 2 goals in the last two minutes of double over time. I got push, shoved, stepped on, spilled on and kissed on the cheek in the matter of 30 seconds after the game. This wasnt even the last game. This sunday is the BIG game its Italy vs either France or portugal, it depends on if France or Portugal wins tonight. But on sunday, after I get back from Rome, we are going back to the Piazza to watch the game again. Its going to be even MORE insane. On the walk home last night everyone was beeping their horns and waving italian flags, singing, crying in the streets it was sooo surreal! I took some awesome pictures of the crowd, you wouldnt believe how many people! anyway....i need to study *ugh* so ill email you later!! toodles!
