Yeah, it's another AU idea. Part parody, part homage, it mixes as much Final Fantasy into the Avatar world. Shake well. Serves 10,000 hits.
In an age where Summoners were the most powerful beings, the nations used them as a weapon against each other. Lands changed, the seas boiled and the people were at the mercy of the deadly Summoners War. The spirits heard this, and pleaded Mother Gaia to aid them in the battle, to preserve their world.
"And lo, from the depths of the earth, the embodiment of Water rose The First WEAPON."
But Mother Gaia came with a warning.
"If my children, all four of them awaken, then the Last WEAPON will awaken, and deliver humanity to the stars."
In a time of strife, a young summoner and her brother discover a young boy who sleeps, entombed in ice. Little do they know, he's the Last WEAPON. And will doom humanity, or save them all.
The Last WEAPON
Characters

Sokka - Katara’s brother, a practical boy who wishes he was the Dragoon he proclaims he is. With spear and sword he is well versed in, but favours the boomerang as well. Soon learns the ways of the Paladin after a long quest of discovery. However he holds a secret that he himself doesn’t even realize. For even Omega requires a Steed, and he is Chaos, the lofty steed and squire to the heavens. (Fighter/Paladin)

Toph - a lady of Ba Sing Se, like her original counterpart she is blind and presumably coddled and sheltered. However, her strong attunement with Titan allows her mobility beyond a regular blind girl, let alone summoners. Able to think fast on her feet, she is an exceptional Black Mage Joins Katara on her quest because she feels that they wouldn’t last a day without her. (Black Mage/Unskilled Summoner)
Aang - the mysterious boy found entombed in ice, he is innocent of the world but displays an astounding control over the power of Typhoon. However, he is not a human by any stretch of the imagination, but the Chariot of Gaia. Similar to his Avatar State in the original, he has the power to summon the Great Spirits to his aid during times of duress. He is the last, a deadly knight that will bring ruin to the world or destroy it. He is the Last WEAPON, Omega Weapon who ushers in the Kingdom of the Stars.
Cid - a gruff talking man who’d rather spend his time away from the world at large, he agrees to bring Katara and her companions to the North Pole in order to prevent the Fire Nation from capturing the power of a WEAPON. A retired Dragoon of the North Pole Water Kingdom, he’s more likely to be found in a bar than actually fighting. (Dragoon)
Mog - one of the heavily reclusive creatures of the world, Mog is a moogle, a being with supernatural powers. He owes Cid a life-debt and will follow the foul-mouthed captain to the ends of the earth. Skilled with all types of weapons, he finds himself at home swinging a lance around. (Lancer)
Leon - a dour man and leader of the Fire Nation troops, he is constantly beset by the bloodlust that follows his fellow nation members around. Constantly flanked by his two lieutenants that manage to keep him sane, he has the task of keeping Prince Zuko from getting in over his head. A master of the unique weapon known as the Gunblade, Leon also has the skill of fire magic. (Knight)
Iroh - a retired general and heavily decorated, he is the uncle of Zuko and has hand-picked the crew that will follow Zuko to the ends of Gaia itself. A lover of tea, Iroh is also a high ranking member in the Order of the White Lotus, a group that transcends cultural and national boundaries. Iroh is known for his ability to call forth Bahamut, one of the greatest dragons in history, which nicknamed him Dragon of the West. (Retired Summoner)
Aerith - One of Leon’s lieutenants, she is constantly assisting the captain in the decisions that will make or break their situation. Loyal to Leon as well to Iroh, she aids later in the defection of said ship to Zuko’s cause once he is convinced to aid the summoners in their quest to prevent the Fire Nation from destroying the world. (White Mage)
Yuffie - ships spy and tactician, she is always enthusiastic about things. A ninja from the isles furthest out from the Fire Nation, she’s a bit of a country girl. However, she is deadly at range and close in, and shows skill with the abilities. Though she sports a tendency to overkill with her All Creation technique. (ninja)
Yuna - the kind and gentle summoner that Katara first learns her abilities from, she accompanies them onto the Highwind to seek the answers of why the summons have stopped speaking to her words of reassurance. Also wishes to find a lost friend whom she believes went to the North Pole.
Terra - a somewhat reclusive young woman but the finest trainer of summoners and black mages in the Water Nation, she is one of the Four Guardians who watches over the WEAPONS of the world. Two of her fellow guardians have already fallen to the power of the Fire Nation’s relentless march, and she is determined to prevent Diamond from falling into their hands. She is also the daughter of one of the great spirits that watch the world.
Rydia - the guardian living in Ba Sing Se, she is also a chosen of the great spirits to guard Emerald WEAPON’s power from being used for evil. A childhood friend of Toph, she has left for Ba Sing Se at an early age to fulfil her destiny. Is “killed” in the attack that brings Ba Sing Se under the control of the Fire Nation but is returned, restored and older by the spirits.
Eiko - an emotionless girl who wears a Slave Crown, she was the guardian of the Fire Nation’s WEAPON before it was discovered and her power taken over. She is still able to summon and can cast powerful protective magics around the Fire Nation troops and fleets. She guards Ruby WEAPON but cannot call its power.
Ashe - the last of the guardians, she is a Air Nomad who escaped the attack on their people. Hiding herself away, she speaks to no one until Katara is able to convince her to join the fight. She guards Ultimate WEAPON and uses a gun an old friend gave her before he prevented the Fire Nation soldiers to finish wiping out the nomads.
Antagonists
Fire Lord Ozai - the father of Zuko and Azula, he is a cruel king who sends his men out for the good of the land, expansion and conquest. His goal is to control all four WEAPONS and ascend to the kingdom of God.
Admiral Zhao - One of the highest commanders in the fleet, he controls the waters with his vast fleet. Reports directly to Ozai.
Admiral Kefka - the advisor to the king, his tongue is sharp and he wishes nothing but for the destruction of the world. There’s nothing more he’d like to see the universe burn.
General Celes - the first female officer to obtain the title of General, she is known as one of the generals who used her magical might to conquer the power of Ruby WEAPON. Serious to a fault, she’s often exasperated with her fellow Horsemen’s irresponsibility.
General Sephiroth - a hero of the Fire Nation, he and General Celes descended into the volcano and defeated Ruby WEAPON, bringing it to its knees for the power of the Fire Nation. Despite his popularity and seriousness, he is constantly trying to skiv work with Genesis, Angeal, Zack and Cloud. This is easier considering they’re on the front lines, leaving Celes to do the real work.
Genesis - a retired general and Sephiroth’s life-long companion, he wishes nothing to do with the war anymore and spends his days reading and writing poetry, particularly focusing on the works of Loveless. Eventually trains Sokka in the way of retribution. Part of the White Lotus order.
Angeal - part of the Four Horsemen, he remains Celes and Sephiroth’s companion. A powerful knight in the army, he is also extremely thrifty and usually sponges off Genesis’ charity. However, he is training two apprentices in order to further the cause of the White Lotus.
Zack - a country boy, much like his companion, Zack is one of the Fire Nations’s SOLDIER ranks. He is best friends with Cloud. Often can be found bumming and slacking off work when he’s loaded with the drudgery of running an army.
Cloud - another country boy similar to Zack. Idolizes Angeal and his skill with the massive Buster Sword. A lower SOLDIER class than Zack, the pair are usually off messing around and trying to skiv work.
I guess not having any RP to keep track of is a good thing, considering I keep making AU.
