I'm pretty sure that George Lucas possesses certain filmmakers so that they may do his bidding with films he is in no way related to.
Consider this: The Island.
-It's a clone--literally--of THX 1138; similar story and a few identical situations, only THX was human and Lincoln Six Echo was a clone.
-Same cheesy dialogue you'd expect from Lucas.
-Show-offy special effects.
-Unrealistic yet predictable love story.
-There's a freakin speeder bike chase, but they're now called "Black Wasps" or something to that effect.
-AND DUH. EWAN MCGORGEOUS.
George Lucas didn't possess Michael Bay...he has possessed me. I won't give up on George.
