More of the same old. Work, business building, still not sleeping well (need a new mattress). Oh, got new tires today. I was kinda grumpy at having to shell out for brand new tires when I'll be getting a new car in the spring, but the old tires were all sorts of slippy dangerous in the rain and I wouldn't have made it thru the winter on them. Getting mroe done on settling grama's estate, and hoping there will be enough in the end to get a new(used) car. Mine's a '93, and while I love it and it gets 30mpg city!! I am burning oil and not willing to put money into an engine rebuild for a 16 year old car. Looking at the Rav4 and CR-V. They got really great ratings at Consumer Reports, and the '08 and '09 are probably within my reach. I am hoping the dealerships will be desperate enough to give me a really good price considering I will be paying cash instead of financing. I am going SUV instead of car this time because I miss having a hatch back with room to bring big stuff home, and it would be nice to have the back for Abby when we go to the park and she gets back in the car all muddy. I can cover the back area with blankets and rugs (tarps if necessary!) and she will stay out of the rest of the car. Right now she has this awful habit of going from the front passenger seat to the back seat, back and forth, then stands between the seats and leans on me, licking my face, which is sweet and all, but not very conducive to safe driving. So I'll get the doggy car fence thing and keep her in the back, and keep her hair and muddy paw prints out of the rest of the vehicle.
