I spent last night searching for and acquiring old games. I found:
* Commander Keen 1-6
* Maniac Mansion: Day of the Tentacle
* Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge
* American McGee's Alice (for Mac - I already had the PC version)
* Sam and Max Hit the Road
Wheeeee! I had a play with Keen 1, man, I hadn't played that game in over 10 years! And I started playing DotT too, which is awesome. I never played it before (only Maniac Mansion, and I never finished it). It has a lot of cut scenes, which would generally offend my Gen Y hyperactive impatient personality (:P) except that they're pretty funny!
I also got the demos for the Penny Arcade game (episodes 1 and 2), which looks like a funny-yet-noir Flash-based adventure game, hence awesome. I have a lot of respect for Gabe and Tycho and if the demos are good I'll probably buy the game.
Here is my list of games to find:
* Monkey Island 1
* Police Quest
* Space Quest
* Leisure Suit Larry (not the recent ones, which are pretty crap - who cares about Larry Lovage!)
* Phantasmagoria for Mac (I have the PC version, and it never worked on my piece-of-crap PC so I never actually got to play this game. Apparently it's really not the most innovative or interesting game ever, but dammit, I want some mid-90s gore!)
Now I wonder if any of these games can be 'adjusted' to work on my DS...I'm sure its resources are good enough for at least some of these games, and making them portable would be pretty sweet.

Yes, there is a way.
SCUMMVM, which is the emulator used to run all old LucasArts adventure games (which were compiled using
SCUMM),
has a DS version. It seems that Sierra games which used the
AGI engine may work through this as well. Glee!
