i need to forget
those memorable days
those nights spent in my basement
drift away in the haze
the way you would hold me
and make me feel right
i have to forget
about all those nights
brush my hair
back over my face
my spot in the blanket
has been replaced
that button you press
will no longer be mine
it will be hers instead
everything dies with time
you kept me guessing for way too long
but not anymore
she's the one in your songs
i know meemories fade
but please don't forget
the day this all started
the day that we met
