Kate looked at the notice, and wrote a note with her name, the disciplines she knew. Which were extensive, and that she was interested in advanced training or to assist with teaching others.

And a little while later Dinah finds the note and goes actively seeking out Kate Bishop.

There should be words, shouldn't there?

There definitely should, and Kate was in fact practicing her katas in one of the fields near the farm. Obviously practiced, and some have said she's Olympic class in that and archery.

Dinah would probably be disqualified from the Olympics for being a professional crime fighter. Besides, letting her compete would be about as fair as letting Batman in. It just isn't something that she considers.

Still, this Kate girl's pretty good. Clearly experienced. Dinah stands to watch her style.

She had studied various forms including kickboxing, jitjutsu, and so on.

She paused in her katas when she noticed the audience, and there was a nod.

"Hi."

"Hi," Dinah says, waving cheerfully. "You're pretty good."

'Pretty good' in Black Canary-speak means 'worthy of the Titans', or if she's feeling mean 'better than Ollie'.

"Thank you."

She then offered her hand as she jogged over to her, "I'm Kate. Kate Bishop."

A hand which Dinah takes. "I know, I was looking for you. Dinah Lance."

"Oh, right, about the martial arts training. Nice to meet you then."

"You too," Dinah says. "That was an impressive list you left. You have a particular need for all that combat knowledge?"

"I do, or did back in my world. I'm with the Young Avengers." Wondering if the name will sound familiar.

Apparently not, as Dinah shakes her head. "Sounds something like the Teen Titans. I'm with the Justice League."

"Different worlds then I guess, but maybe. There's just a handful of us. My codename's Hawkeye. I also know archery, fencing, and swordfighting."

"Black Canary," Dinah says. "I know... well lots of things. Close combat. At a distance I have to resort to meta powers."

Which isn't really something she's proud of.

"I know a couple of archers, though."

She shrugged, "I don't have powers... well not before I came here, and not sure how much sharper senses really count. Long story, and I wouldn't recommend heading to San Francisco for the time being."

She added, "Which archers?"

"You shouldn't need them."

Take it from the woman who went the best part of a decade without them.

"Well, one was called Roy. He was practically a little brother to me for a while. One of the best archers in the world; he was in the Titans as Arsenal.

"The other?" Dinah pulls a face. "He's a jerk."

Haha, someone has a history.
