Dreamer is cleaning bloodstains out of Shay's boat fort.

It's taking a lot longer than she thought.

Certainly long enough that she forgot why she started in the first place, but hey. Not like she has anything better to do.

Slosh. Clank. Scrubscrubscrub. Slosh.

This is oddly restful.

Eden steps out of the house, wearing a metallic bronze dress with a large silver belt and a heavy necklace of red glass beads. Ruining this perfectly chic outfit are the flipflops - but she's gotta put something on her feet.

"I've really wanted to ask the story about that thing!" Eden calls up. She's out for a walk today, notebook and pen in hand and skin slathered in sunscreen. She decided to try to get a little inspiration from nature.

But now she's distracted.

"Shay did it," Dreamer calls down, beaming.

Yes, she kept cleaning the bloodstains out after the previous thread.

She's almost done! Just a few spots on the deck left, really.

"He's...that guy, right?" Eden stretches her arm to bring her hand to around Shay's height. "Scruffy?"

"Yeah, that's him all right."

Grin.

"Hey, you wanna come up here? I'm almost done - the place is nice and shiny now. Well. For a fucking landlocked cargo liner."

She nods to a stack of crates assembled for the purpose of letting people up who can't teleport.

...It's not as wobbly as it looks, honest.

"Sorry, I'm not the one with the magical flying powers," Eden replies with a grin.

Unlike most of the house, Eden doesn't know about the climbing crates option. Because she, unlike most of the house, isn't sleeping with Shay.

"Hey, do I look like I have magical flying powers to you?"

Not that these things are visible, but. Dreamer shrugs.

"That's what the crates are for."

And there is pointing. Because: crates. Over there. In a stack. For the climbing of.

Eden takes a closer look at the crates - she saw them before, but was too distracted by OOOO, SHIP! to pet them together. Oh. That's what they're for.

She wrinkles her nose.

"I was hoping you had them and you could offer me a lift. I - swear to God - I seriously failed gym class."

Dreamer tries not to laugh.

She doesn't try very successfully, but she does try.

"C'mon, it's not that difficult. Better than how I got up here, anyways."

She doubts somehow that Eden will want to crack four ribs on the railing.

"How'd you get up there?" Eden asks and she walks her way over to the crates.

Eden, it's not an escalator. You have to move and stop staring at the crates dubiously.

"Built myself a little ramp out of shit that was lying around and took a running leap," she says ruefully. "Didn't quite make it up in one piece - busted my ribs on the railing. I don't recommend it."

"Mmmyeah I might have a little difficulty with that," Eden comments. She reaches up to touch one of the crates.

Who knows how many people've had their feet on this thing? She's touching feet. And shoes. Ewwwww.

"You're a fucking wuss," Dreamer comments, grinning lazily. "C'mon, get up here. I could use the company."

"I did mention the failing gym, right?" Eden shoots back.

But, you know, she does start climbing. Slooooowly.

Hey, her power's useful, but it won't save her if she falls to her death.

Dreamer might!

As it is, she just watches.

And when Eden gets in range she'll find herself being given a hand up for the last little bit.

"Thanks!" Eden says, gratefully.

The first thing she does is not look out at the view. The first thing she does is inspect her dress. Maybe it got...crate-gunk on it. Crates have gunk, right? They probably do.

These crates do not have gunk.

And Dreamer... Dreamer's trying not to stare at Eden too obviously. The lack of sunburn has improved her mightily, and considering she started at "damned cute"?

It's a little distracting.
