There. There is shade, next to the lake. The lake that is all around and under the bridge just behind her. Across from it is a strange building, large and warped and multi-hued and there are cars, abandonded on the road. But there is a shade underneath the gum trees...
And a figure, tall and slender with a rifle in hand. She steps out from behind a tree, takes some steps forwards.
"You're brave!" She calls out. Somehow, there is a muted quality to her call.
Very slowly the younger woman's hand drifted to the pistol at her side while the other kept the card between her fingers. Bright blue eyes studied the new arrival before she clicked her tongue off the roof of her mouth. Dakota, by her side, growled slightly. "Brave is a state of mind. Survived would be the best way to describe it."
From this distance the woman's features weren't clear, but Ana wasn't going to move quite yet from her comfy spot against the strange tree.
"No. Not from here." Reaching a hand up she stuck the card for the time in the band that wraped around the hat, the back side of a Unicorn's head on a field of green visiable for the other woman to see. "Haven't seen anything like the rest before. Seems pretty quiet to me for the time being." Her accent was clearly American and her slightly smug attitude. "I got enough things to keep me and my own safe."
Then, slowly, Ana started to raise to her feet leaving her hand close to the pistol. "If it wasn't so bad you wouldn't be out here either right?"
