There was a shimmer, and Willow was no longer invisible. She had to conserve her resources a little. Going to need more juice at this rate.

Hmmm... this might be promising.

Down by the river Brand was cleaning up, using the cold water to scrub at the back of his neck and face with. The feeling of another presence- a strange sense of knowing- caused the hairs on the back of his neck to stand on end. But his hands never pasued as he worked trying to get back to a reasonable state.

"You are a very loud person," the Prince says dryly before shaking his damp hair out. "If you like to sneak up on people I suggest practice."

"Sorry, I think it's more fun to make an entrance." She smiled brightly, but the brightness was the cold brightness of moonlight. No warmth to it.

A smile that he knew all to well. Standing straighter the shirtless Prince watched the woman carefully for a moment before one brow slowly started to raise. "Depending upon the situation, my dear, else it will get that pretty head of yours cut off."

Slowly reaching out for his torn and tattered shirt he started to make his way back up the bank to where she stood. "Which would be a pitty."

She just remarked casually, pale skin and dark veins along her face, "I'm stronger than I look. And I'm not the only one here, hmmm?" Interested look back at him.

"It depends," Brand says dryly, "on where here is and who is here." He doesn't even pause as he starts to move away feeling the buzz of power coming from her. It was intoxicating. "But yes, we are being watched. By what I have not seen before."

"Somewhere Kansas, not too many here. Humans that is. There's others around."

She then held up her hand to create a fireball.

"I could do something about that spy. Make sure they regret it? So easy, look." She smiled as she made the fireball grew, and get hotter.

Even in his weakened state Brand was able to raise a hand, raising it in an arch from left to right in an attempt to put the fireball out. "Careful or you will get burned." Once a few steps away he pulled the shirt on grunting as he did so. Damned trees and falling off a mountain. Touching the pouch at his belt he made sure his own Trumps were nestled safe within. "Where did you learn your spells, girl? They are crude and need improving..."

She glared at that as the fireball fizzled out, "I know what I was doing. Got it from some books. What can I say, I'm a fast learner."

She slowly walked over to him, sauntering, "But I could be open to suggestions, or improvements."

"Learning from books is one thing, girl, than learning from a living breathing person." Like he had learned from his Grandfather, Dworkin. Of course the old cow must be regreting all that now.. With a snap of his fingers the fireball appeared floating above his hand- flame dancing within flame. "You are to harsh with your style. Wielding such abilities is an art not something for school kids."

Lowering his hand the fireball fizzled away again before Brand turned around to face her. "Do you have a name, girl, or shall I continue to call you that all evening."

"I had a teacher, but he got jealous of my growing powers. Just because I surpassed him. You sound a little like him."

Angry look, and she said, "Used to be called Willow, but not much left there. She wasn't much until I improved things. Have to do for now though."

Brand gets a smug look across his face. "I do not teach unless I find someone I deem worthy enough to learn." His eyes flickered up and down Willow's form before a cruel little smile flashed across his handsome face. "Willow it is then." Like it or not she is stuck with it now. "You have an eagerness to learn...the want for more power. Sounds something like, well, me."

Brief scowl, but then there was an emerging smile on her face.

"I do. Was supposed to take care of two remaining vermin. Two boys that took something important away from me. I should have it back and they should be punished. Already took care of their leader. Was slow for him." Cold smile.

The smile upon the Prince's face turned rueful. "Oh is that a fact. Slow is always good...it gives the person time to think exactly what they did wrong to get into the position they are in." Like he had been placed in by his siblings Fiona and Bleys. They? would be the first to pay.

"Show me what else you can do."

She nodded, "I made sure he felt every second of the pain and terror before he died. He wasn't very sorry until the very end when I flayed him alive."

Her eyes then turned black and she started to rise in the air, sparks of electricity around her, and clouds of smoke surrounding her before she vanished.

She then reappeared behind him the same way.

Brand, however, only grunted again as she vanished already placing what she was doing into memory and compairing it to what he already knew. It was indeed something like he saw in Chaos. "How quaint and charming..I could do tricks like that when I was a child." But his voice did hold a little impressed note to it now. "Where is it that you come from, Willow?"
