Kate has been around the farm. You probably just missed her, but she's been practicing out back with her bow and quiver of arrows. Sometimes she practices with her silver sword instead. Clearly an experienced fighter by her techniques, and her senses seemed especially sharp with those very, surprisingly bright blue eyes of hers.

"Holy shit!" Thomas has been watching the girl practice. Nothing creepy or anything. Okay, probably a bit creepy, but the whole arrow and sword thing, well, it's kind of familiar. There used to be a guy, the ace of spades killer- Well, there was history to it.

"That's uh, some shooting."

Kate's seemingly too bright eyes flickered over to him, and immediately faded back to normal human ones.

"Thank you," she remarked casually as she lowered her bow.

"You, uh-" He sighs, running his hands trough his hair. The hair seems to shift more or less as one clump. he's still working on that. "You shoot pro?"

Curious eye to the hair for a brief moment, and remarked, "Not exactly, but it comes in handy."

"oh." He slumps a bit, his body actually shrinking in on itself. "Thought fer a minute you might be an ace."

"I might be, I just use it in a different sort of profession. More of a volunteer one."

His eyes light up, a grin stretching across his face. "One where you wear a funny outfit and stop people from committing crimes?"

Rueful smile, "An uniform to protect my identity. It's not as funny looking as some out there. But yes, you got it."

"Do they call them aces on your world?" Please please please, let her be from the same place. If only for the companionship!

"Superheroes are the usual name for us. And there's teams in some cases like the Avengers, X-Men, the Fantastic Four and so on."

"Damn." His face droops, sad again. One of these days. "Not the same place. A guy can hope, right?"

Sympathetic look from her now, understanding all too well.

"I'm sorry. I'm the only one from my world too."

Thomas sinks to the ground, losing a bit of definition. "I'm Thomas. Also, Ouroborous, when I'm on the job."

"I'm also called Hawkeye when I am on the job. Interesting codename, the snake eating it's own tail."

She then came closer, "You all right? Need a hand?"

He stretches out a finger, letting it go all tentacle like. "It's supposed to be an allusion to being able to encircle the world."

"So I've read once." She nodded, "One of my teammates can shapeshift. Also has super strength, enhanced healing, form fire in his hands or turn them to rock."
