"Hey! I don't know you." Shay calls down from the ship.

"Why is there a ship out here?" It's really all he can think to say at the moment.

Although he does amend that slightly to, "How is there s ship out here?"

"Through use of new strobe lighting technology," Shay says, solemnly. "Why wouldn't there be a ship out here?"

"It's Kansas," Clark points out, sounding terribly disbelieving. "There isn't a whole lot of water."

Shay fiddles with his shackles, absently.

It's surprisingly tempting to flood the area just to be contradictory.
"Very true."

Clark swam from France. A little flooding isn't going to bother him, although it might piss Lucy off, what with the house in the way and all.

"Well, just so you realize it isn't going to be terribly useful."

"I think it'll be very useful," Beat. "Who are you, anyway?"

"Clark," he answers, letting the whole ship thing go, for now. "This used to be my farm. Who are you?"

"Shay. This didn't used to be my farm."

[hero_farmboy]

"I gathered," Clark replies dryly, walking closer to the ship for inspection. Yep, it's real.

"What are you planning on doing with this, anyway?"

[not_a_dragon]

"Leaving it here. It's a fort." Shay says, seriously. "Lucy said I could."

Clark snorts. "I guess this means I don't have to build that addition."

"But if you want to clean out all the bloodstains, you're welcome to." Shay grins.

"You brought it here," although how, Clark still isn't sure, "I think that makes it your responsibility."

"You really think I could move an entire cargo liner here?"
